Why so sudden? Internal polling or economic troubles?

| Yes!!!! |
…. For the mask mandate, not the vaccine mandate. ( I was too fast to reply) |
| ^^ vaxx mandate ends tomorrow, masks Feb 28. |
| No, it says the mask mandate ends March 1. But not for schools and some other places. Argh. Drop the masks at school already. |
| Why are they doing this? The vax mandate was great |
It destroys small businesses, especially restaurants. |
Why, though? Most of DC is vaccinated, and this should encourage those who aren't to get vaccinated. |
| This feels so unfair. So unvaccinated adults can swan around unmasked in restaurants and bars, but my fully vaxxed kids have to continue wearing their masks for 8 hours a day in school. Drop the school mask mandate before dropping the vax mandate. |
No it won’t. And there’s a not insubstantial part of the population that’s vaccinated but opposed to sweeping mandates. |
This. |
Seriously! When is the school mask mandate going to be dropped? I work in one of those "other" places and I am so so done with masks, but I'm sure I'll have to keep wearing it until schools drop theirs. |
You can see Bowser’s priorities clearly. Restaurants are more important than kids. |
|
Vax mandates and Mask mandates are political and not based in science. The science hasn’t changed significantly in the last few days but we are seeing blue states/cities deciding to pull them.
While this is wonderful, this should have been done months ago. |
| Does this apply to the museums and the zoo? Would like to take my 2 year old when the weather gets a little nicer but he has some sensory issues and masks are a problem for him. |
