Georgetown stores that carry plus sizes?

Which clothing stores in Georgetown carry plus sizes?

What sizes are you looking for? I ask because while I can’t, off-hand, think of a store that has, say, 24W, I’m pretty sure that Urban Outfitters has 14s and a few 16s. Anthropologie and J Crew may as well.

Thank you. I am looking for sizes 18-20.

I think J Crew goes up to 18, and Anthropologie does come in a full range of Plus sizes — but I’m not sure what the Georgetown stores have in stock, so maybe you could check that. I think Banana Republic and Ann Taylor Loft have 18s, but, again, I’m not sure what the stores will have. Of these, I’d probably start with Anthropologie.

I hope someone else chimes in with more suggestions. If not, I’d be happy to make some suggestions if you’re willing to go beyond Georgetown.

Is there a Chico's in Georgetown? One of my colleagues wears a lot of Chico's clothing and she is an 18-20-22 depending.

Not a lot. Athleta is one.

No one means 14 when they are looking for "plus sizes", lol.

I consider plus size anything over a 10.

Unless they’ve tried finding 14s in one of the many many stores that don’t carry anything over a 10. Or they actually wear 14W, which has a different fit vs a Misses 14.

But hey, PP, you got your laughs in, right?

NP - I'd love more suggestions and am not limited to G'town. Online fine too. Thanks!

Something like 40% of storefronts in Georgetown are shuttered… I think I saw a plus sized section at Everlane.

Why Georgetown? It’s so over and half empty

Ok, since I don’t know what your goals are or your budget, here’s a wide range of options. I assume that you already know about stores like Macy’s, Old Navy and the Gap. There are some inexpensive options like ASOS, options that always have sales and coupons (Talbots and Lands End), distinct labels like Eileen Fisher and Lafayette, Torrid for trendy stuff, and other options for everything from staples (Universal Standards) to the Nordstrom stores which will have a wide range of options and helpful customer service.

If none of these options is quite what you’re looking for, the more specific you can be, the easier it will be to make good suggestions.
Some of these options have stores in or near DC, others don’t.
Enjoy!

Universal Standard
Eileen Fisher
Lafayette 148
Nordstrom
Nordstrom Rack
Torrid (especially for jeans)
Good American (especially for jeans)
Talbots (classics)
ASOS Curve
Lands End (Swim suits, basics)
