Beth's pregnancy test was negative. Here is an episode recap: http://ew.com/recap/this-is-us-season-1-episode-5/

How are they going to keep people watching for season 2? Feels like they're wrapping everything up.

What are they close to wrapping up? Even if they reach Jack's death next week, they still won't touch on what happens after, how Rebecca and Miguel end up together, how each kid copes, how they get to where they are at today in life. There's so much of the story left to be told!

The DVR cut off in the middle of the previews for next week. The last I saw was a shot of the car with crumpled beer cans. Did they show anything else regarding Jack driving in the car after that?

As the mom of a child of a certain age, I got a huge giggle out of the exchange between Rebecca and Randall (twice) - "I love you. I love you more. I love you most." Straight out of "Tangled" - quote from Mandy Moore's Rapunzel to Mother Gothel.

And as some one who acted for years before that child of a certain age, I laughed at what Miguel said to Kevin after the play - something every actor had heard - "I don't know how you remembered all those lines!" Like that's the hardest part!

They didn't show anything after that w/ Jack and the car. Apparently they won't be touching on Jack's death this season, so it won't come out next week.

Wait, so Jack isn't going to die driving to Cleveland or on the way back to Pittsburgh? That's what I took away from the ending and preview, especially with Kate saying it was her fault he died. Or is that just a red herring?

PP again. But there were some really superb scenes last night, with the mailman and Randall quitting his job. And I like how William's presence was all over the episode. He was my favorite.

I think it is a red herring - at least the intimation that he dies in a drunk driving incident. I think it may happen around that road trip but not because of the drunk driving. I feel like they wouldn't be so obvious so it must be a head-fake.

I thought the season finale was going to be about Jack's death. Is that not the case?

I was so happy for Beth when she got her postcard. You're the daughter I never had. I cried man. I CRIED.

+1 I was thinking the same thing

I think the producers will drag out the cause of Jack's death as long as possible. Keeps us tuning in and guessing!

Love that William made sure to say goodbye to everyone. I wonder how he knew he would die while in Memphis. He looked pretty spry when he and Randall left on their trip.
