Tell an opinion you have that is in the strong minority

I bet plenty of immigrants from far away would come here illegally if they lived in a country neighboring the US.

I judge people who bring newborn babies to bars after dark during snowstorms. According to my thread in General Parenting, I'm in the minority on this one.

They do already. There are plenty of illegal Chinese and Canadians, actually. I had a distant family member from Canada living here illegally. Happens more often than people realize, but Canadians can pass for "Americans" so no one really notices or cares.

While I plan to encourage him and will be proud of him for giving his best effort, I want him to know that real life does not involve participation rewards, he is not above others, and the rules do apply to him.

I'd like to think this isn't a minority opinion, but I see so many parents out there who let their children run around screaming and bumping into adults in public and they have this look on their face like "isn't my little Jimmy just *the* cutest ever." Seriously, I do not want to raise a child who thinks the world revolves around him and he can do whatever he wants/that mommy and daddy will bail him out of eberthing when he gets older.

LOL.

People who do "inspiring" things like walk a tightrope between skyscrapers, climb and sleep on the side of huge mountains and put it all over social media, jump out of planes, etc, are idiots with too much time and money on their hands.

The tyranny of cars in this country is absurd. Cars, cars, and more cars. Barf.

Agree

Extreme athletes like climbers and skydivers are sponsored by companies like North Face, Redbull, etc. It is their job.

But being far away makes it more difficult to cross the border.

I'm a SAHD and I watch porn during naptime every now and then.

Should I be having an affair instead?

We've all been there, done that. That is, take on this sanctimonious tone about how well do it differently. Get back to us when your kid tantrums in public and pregnant moms state you down. Yawn.

Nope. I see parents literally do nothing while their kids run around like banshees. I'm not saying my kid will never have a tantrum, but I would never just let my kid run off in a crowded place acting like a maniac while I just laugh about it. Guess we know what type of parent you are!

More likely those people were already deep into the extreme activity and the companies came along and offered them a sweet deal. North Face isn't drafting an amateur and then training them until they reach international fame.

Here goes. I don't think infants should be in daycare (unless the family truly can't cover the basics without two incomes).

This x1000! While I know many successful Ivy League grads, I know plenty who aren't.

Psst. Sven, Hans and Katerina have a leg up on Jose. They're white. Soon-Yi is in between-his people are a model minority known for quickly assimilating.

Np. No one ever said what race Jose is. I am of Spanish origin and identify as white. Stop judging.

Agree but I don't say a word to a living soul to anyone about this.

Disagree, kids in daycare do better than kids who aren't.
