I am suddenly remembering that post from last year where someone's brilliant idea was to conscript 18 year olds and force them to work as domestic servants for a year or two. The idea was they would be slaves, but they'd at least learn how to run a household. A household with slaves, sure, but hey. |
This can’t be real. Where did you read it? |
Well maybe depending on where she is geographically, she might find a grandma-type who wants to hang out with her 'sweet' 1 yo? ![]() |
I mean she does have a CORPORATE job… |
Side money? unreal. |
It was posted on Reddit today I believe. And I have no doubt it's real. |
Oh the entitlement is definitely real. Goes right along with the moms who think its CUTE to demand free labor from single women in their communities...because women in their 20s/30s/40s who are unattached are really desperate to change your diapers for you and hold a screaming kid for no pay? Some women are just out of their minds. |
Horrible mothers exist. I’m actually glad she keeps getting dumped and ghosted. What a fricking narcissist! |
If you can’t afford “this $15/20 an hour” stuff, you can’t afford a babysitter! I hope posters set her straight. |
Feeling better about our odds of finding a PT sitter this summer. We're offering $22/hr for one kid! Everyone keeps telling us we'll never find someone PT. But this lady is getting multiple inquiries while offering $10 for a PT job, and all they are doing is counter offering for $15 or $20. COME TO ME, QUALIFIED SITTERS WILLING TO WORK 20 HOURS A WEEK. I'll pay you a decent wage and bonus -- my kid really is sweet. |
In 1993, as a college freshman, I charged $10/hr to babysit only on my parents’ street in their new build, Fairfax County neighborhood. Best job I ever had and all cash, all summer. Not one mom balked at my rate.
Ten an hour NOW? Outrageous. This mom is embarrassingly, shamefully cheap and no wonder she can’t find anyone. |
The poster is a narcissist. And stunningly stupid. |
I pay 20 an hour. No one will even think about it for less than 15 |
Might this be in a very low-COL area of the country? |
