Ideas for Birthday/V-Day

Anonymous
My wife's birthday and V-Day are a couple days apart. I need ideas besides jewelry (which I get her for Christmas). Any ideas? She is not into spas. Thoughts on nice gifts? Thanks in advance.

What are her interests?

Short notice, but a trip? Maybe focus on an experience and not a tangible gift. A co-worker and his wife rented a tiny house in the mountains and he said it was awesome. Maybe it's time to think outside of the box.

Re: experience focused, an online class that comes with materials to make something could be fun depending on her interests. Beautiful bag or boots she has been coveting. Trip away with girlfriends or even a solo retreat — if she has a sport or activity she enjoys, something linked to this?

If you want good ideas, you need to offer some more specifics. I don't have good suggestions for "generic married woman, age 30ish to 50ish? maybe a mom? definitely a Pisces."

But I might have a good suggestion if I know more details, like if she has kids and if so what ages, what her day-to-day is like (SAHM? working in a medical office? teaching? stuck in a home office all day? etc.) and what her interests might be.

One question to ask yourself is if there is something that might feel lacking in her life right now. More beauty? Buy her art. More excitement? Tickets to a concert. More intellectual stimulation? A writing class. And so on. Like for me the thing I'm lacking most is time, so a gift I'd love is a night in a hotel or at a local retreat on my own, while DH took the kids for the night. One night to read, take a bath, get good sleep, go for a morning walk without worrying about kids, etc., would be amazing for me. But that's me. Maybe your DW has plenty of time and what she wants is romance or a challenge or humor or something.

No. I’m a Pisces. It starts 2/20 (2/19 according to some).
