I do, because I don't love eating breakfast and often skip it or just eat something very small. I loooooved brunch in my 20s and 30s prelims, when we would stay out late, sleep in late, and then hit up a greasy, heavy brunch midday. So satisfying.
Now with kids it's different, but I still enjoy a big meal and it's a nice treat for the kids (pancake stacks with whipped cream and strawberries for lunch, there are few things better when you are 5 years old). I don't drink anymore so I'm never treating a hangover, and therefor don't eat quite so much. But still love a greasy breakfast sandwich or a pile of pancakes with bacon or whatever. Long live brunch! |

Yep! Something I'd only do once or twice a year, but I've never understood the hate. I'm also not much of a breakfast eater, so pushing the clock back is the only way to get me to eat that kind of food.
Plus, love a good mimosa or bloody mary. |

My favorite meal, by far. I used to love brunch at Ping Pong Dim Sum - all you can eat Dim Sum and all you can drink mimosas, and the mimosas were made with those little juice balls you get at froyo places instead of OJ. Sooo good.
Now Equinox is my fav - it’s vegan, so you don’t feel absolutely disgusting afterwards. Oooo and I love brunch enchiladas. Might have to get some this weekend. I do miss the mimosas, can’t do those now because of the kiddos. Yep, I managed to have kids, even with eating brunch all those years. In fact I’m pretty sure all-you-can-drink mimosas were responsible for one of those kids. |

As an early riser, brunch just doesn't sit well with me. By the time you get out of brunch, half or more of the day is over and that makes me feel regretful. Even worse when it's Sunday and the day is shot and here comes Monday.
I don't like going out to breakfast a lot in general because it often means long lines and crowded restaurants. When I drive by an IHOP on a Sunday, it just seems miserable and I am glad I am not there. |

I love brunch. Brunch foods are some of my favorites, and I'm not a big eater in the morning so a midday meal works great for me.
A long, boozy brunch is an indulgence I really miss now that I have two kids under 4. |
| I’d eat a big meal at 11-1 every day and soup or something light for dinner if I could. |
| Haven’t gone to a brunch in decades. Who wants an omelette at noon? |

| When I used to stay out late and sleep late, I loved a boozy weekend brunch. Now I'm an early riser (up by 7 with kids) and I just want coffee and something light, like toast, in the AM. By 11:30 or noon I'm ready for lunch and breakfast foods don't appeal. |
Me, too. I'm an early riser, but who can eat that much in the actual morning? |
| I love food, so yes, brunch is great. |

Can we talk about people's favorite brunch spots with kids?
This isn't what I would have chosen at 29, but now one of our favorite places is Original Pancake House. Super kid-friendly menu and they really work hard to get people seated in a reasonable amount of time (no reservations, which we like because we don't like having to plan that far in advance). The one in Bethesda has a patio, too. They don't serve alcohol, not that kind of place. Any other good recommendations? We recently moved to NE DC and would love recommendations for this area. Anything on H Street or in Brookland people like? |
| I wake up pretty early and I'm hungry right away, so I don't like brunch because I can't wait that long to eat. If I eat a small breakfast then I'm not hungry enough for a big brunch. |

I love brunch. I used to go all the time pre-kids and it's one of the few things I really miss now that I have kids. Lazy brunches are not a thing with kids in tow, IME.

Not a fan. I don't like day drinking so boozy brunches are out and I'm usually up early anyway, so I'd much prefer breakfast, especially because stuff is less crowded.
When I was younger and went out drinking my usual move was to stay out until closing time, go home and grab a couple hours sleep, then wake up and hit up an early morning spot for breakfast before going back home and sleeping as late as I could. |
