Vanishing Georgetown

At the risk of sounding old, I thought I’d start a list of places I loved in Georgetown, but which have since disappeared.

Anyone remember (and can add to the list)

- Au Pied de Cochon?

How about the original Georgetown head shop, Electro Max?

(Plus the really bad fake IDs they pedaled).

Ha! When I was a college freshman in 2001 I went to Au Pied du Cochon the day before they left after dropping me at school. We walked in and were asked if we wanted smoking or non, and I was so shocked because in California smoking had been banned 3 years earlier and I had completely forgotten about smoking sections.
We had lived in dc earlier and my parents used to have an office across the street and are there multiple times a week.

Sorry - I don’t know what happened to the “with my parents” after Au Pied… yeah, I was with my parents.

When I was in college we LOVED a place called Bistro Med. In retrospect I don't think it was likely that amazing but we loved it and were sad when they closed. This was like 20 years ago.
