Best baby shampoo/wash/lotion?

Anonymous
FTM due with baby in June and starting to put my registry together. I’m trying to do my research on the best baby shampoo and wash and seeing so many options. I’m 100% staying away from Johnson & Johnson. From what I’m seeing, a really good new brand seems to be “pipette” with clean/safe ingredients. Has anyone tried them?

Is honest good? Baby dove?

Any recommendations appreciated!!

I wouldn’t stock up on anything because babies have sensitive skin and you might not like a few til you find one that works. I like vanicream wash and lotion. I use the pipe the oil. My kids have eczema/sensitive skin.

File this under things that won’t really matter to you once baby is born but seem really important now.

That said, mustela gentle cleansing gel is great and I hardly ever used lotion but liked mustela or burts bees.

Mustela is my favorite but we’ve also used Johnson and Johnson without any issues. This is so far down the list of things to worry about.

We used Mustella with our first. We used some mustrlls some whatever with subsequent kids. It’s whatever works for your baby’s skin and whatever smell you like/don’t like.
Also same for detergent. We used baby detergent with the first then I think basically adult detergent. Again all will depend on your kids’ skin. Keep it simple.

I like Aveeno’s baby line. My baby had some mild eczema and the eczema wash and lotion is great. Also stayed far away from all J&J.

I personally like California baby, but as PP said, it could change when your baby is here. Buy a few brands to test out.

I liked Cerave baby wash and lotion. But it really doesn’t matter, whatever works with baby’s skin is good.

Cetaphil and cerave (same brands that I use on my own face, but baby line for the baby). Lotion is dove baby that we already had at home but tubby Todd ointment as needed.

Agree that this will be the last of your worries when baby is here. That said get anything without fragrance - I use earth mama and nano botanicals sensitive. Babies don’t need scents.
