| Hi, please help me with a non-alcoholic drink order for an upcoming business dinner. Eveeryone else will be drinking. I know it sounds lame to not want to appear to be the only non drinker but for anxiety-sake, what do I order that might look like a real drink. Not iced tea or sprite or something obvious. Sorry to be lame. Thanks. |
| Club soda? |
|
Club soda with lime.
Arnold palmer. Alcohol-free beer. |
|
My husband doesn't drink. He always orders an Arnold Palmer. It's iced tea and lemonade, but it has a name that makes it sound like it might be a mixed drink, and it looks like something interesting.
Or you can just tonic with lime. |
|
shirley temple
virgin mojito virgin pina colada |
| ginger beer and lemon |
|
My husband in these situations always gets a club soda with lime.
I like the idea of an Arnold Palmer, too. |
No. Not at a work dinner where you want to be taken seriously. |
| Will you be at the table or going to the bar? The bar is easier. You can get cranberry and seltzer on ice, Sprite on ice with a lime ... I have done juice in a wine glass but the color can give you away. |
then just don’t drink if you can’t |
|
can someone explain to me the problem with just not drinking?
|
LOL
|
| Just order what you normally drink or order a club soda with lime. Nobody cares. |
+1 I cannot even imagine how weird it would be to hear someone order a shirley temple at a work dinner! Just get club soda with lime or splash of cranberry juice. |
|
shirley temple is literally sprite with syrup
you’d rather say can i get a sprite with syrup ? |
