Sounds like some kids got paper acceptances over the past few days. The prediction for portal updates is today at 4.
Any acceptances yet? Please share stats and HS. |
| EA not ED2, right? |
| Yes. I'm somewhat confused about why one would do ED2 at Northeastern since EA comes out earlier. I guess maybe the EA app date was missed? |
| The advantage to ED2 is that--since it is binding--the school knows you're committed so it's the ultimate way to demonstrate interest... In theory, it should give some admissions "bump" ...unclear whether there is any advantage to EA other than finding out early. |
So they can defer EAs and suggest ED2 to increase yield ?? |
Higher chance to get accepted if apply as ED2 I believe. |
At Northeastern the EA and ED2 deadlines for applications are the same so a deferred EA applicant can't apply ED2. But there are some schools that might do that. |
| Is your guess based on previous experience OP. Online in their website it says Feb 1st. |
It says BY Feb 1st. Last year it actually came out the last Wed. of Jan. |
Ok thanks. |
And, there was a change to the website this morning that makes the kids think it is coming out today. |
| It hasn't posted yet, nor has my kid got an email saying it was coming. I suspect its not coming out today |
"They say" typically new england applicants hear between 4 and 6, the rest of the east between 6-8, then the west. |
|
results are coming out in waves right now

Yes, most of them are deferrer. News is that they selected 2,000 out of 50,000 EA applicants. Acceptance rate 4% |
