Last week I received a meal I didn't pick at all. And I also received the wrong recipe card for another meal in the box, but I was able to get the correct recipe off the site so that wasn't a very big deal. The first week of January when I received my box, lots of the produce came rotten and moldy!
When I contacted support, they acted like it was a non-issue. "We sometimes run out of certain items and substitute different meals." Okay, but why didn't they pick a meal that was sort of close to the one I had selected. I picked a chicken dish and they gave me pork instead. I don't eat pork. I swear I had to fill out something that said as much about pork. And when I notified them about the rotten produce, they asked if I had put the items away as soon as I received it or let them set out. I told the person they could probably see that my shipment had been delivered at 11:24 and it was 11:43 when I was talking to them, so no. My delivery day is today and so far, nothing yet. I know they have the 8-8 window for delivery, but I've never received a delivery this late before. I paused on HF from October-December and reactivated in January. I had zero issues with them in all the time I used them before the pause. I did the pause because I felt like the meals were the same over and over. Did the service really go downhill that fast? What other service would you recommend? |
| You can easily report problems on the app. Like my garlic was moldy and I reported it and instantly got $12 back. I have had a few issues of small things being moldy and several times getting the wrong recipe card, but the recipe is on the app and the fact that its so easy to report issues and get a partial refund Im fine with it. |

Today is also my delivery day and nothing. Usually I get the text that it’s on its way late Tuesday or early Wednesday so I knew something was up when I didn’t get that. Now says delivery tomorrow. I’ve only been using it since September, and this is the second time the delivery didn’t arrive on time so not a frequent issue. One week they didn’t send the ground pork for a dish at all (I used some ground beef I had instead). I reported it through the app, and they gave me a $12 credit.
I only order two meals a week, for delivery on Wednesday for cooking on Thursday and Friday. I’ve wondered how people who order more meals make it work because some of my produce is definitely heading towards bad by Saturday. |

| I used it for a year or more and generally liked it, occasionally had rotting produce but not too often, but I stopped a few months ago because the chicken was so bad sometimes — just totally rubbery. And it wasn’t that I just cooked it badly, because I would make a dish with 4 chicken breasts and just one would be inedible, or sometimes more. I didn’t like always worrying if my meal would be inedible as I often ordered the chicken dish, so I finally stopped. I wish Plated would come back. I loved Plated. Sigh. A friend likes Marley Spoon. |
| Recently yes where the delivery is DAYS late so unusable. They credited the full amount when I reached out on the app. I am now skipping for a while until weather is less of a factor. |
| I switched to Marley Spoon after a few issues with HF. So far the meals, and the produce, are much better. |
DP and my experience was the same. I haven't gone back in a while because the meals get repetitive and yet, having more meal options is just somehow worse options? I had to cancel over the summer for a time because mine was delivered via FEDEX and I get FEDEX at 9pm so it was sitting on a hot truck all day and everything was gross. Wasn't the fault of HF but they did credit it for the times it happened before I just stopped getting it when it was 90 out. |

They've having lots of issues lately. A friend got a full duplicate set of meals this week (not charged). She literally got home to 2 boxes and was very confused. They were identical.
When we were doing it they ran out of ingredients often. I think we had one meal in 6 weeks that had everything as it should've. |
