In all of the region's school-specific groups. You know the ones i'm talking about. The ones who constantly try to one up each other with more concern. Th ones who portray teachers as Navy Seals heaing to battle
Are you friends with any of them? Have you ever told them to stop embarrassing themseves? |
I know some people like this. It’s entirely self serving virtue signaling. Another cool thing they do is turn anyone who isn’t willing to sacrifice their family and career in order to endure no one ever has to set foot in a school without a 100% guarantee that there won’t be Covid there, into a straw man who hates teachers, loves trump, and is probably a fascist.
They are fun. No I have not told them to stop because they will just point their weapons at me and I just want to live my life. The good news is that most other parents (and teachers) I know are onto them and don’t listen. |
I’m not on Facebook anymore.
But yes I do know the ones you’re talking about and know some in real life. I chat nicely with them if forced and steer clear of them in general. Get off Facebook and let these people recede in your rear view mirror. |
I’m pretty active on FB and have no clue what you are talking about. |
I think like this but I'm not on social media ![]() |
Facebook groups organized around specific school districts. Arlington Education Matters is one. I’m sure there are others in other districts. |
This just in: You disagree with someone on the internet. Why bring it into real life? |
You must not have any kids in school or be part of their school's facebook pages. My kid's school (ACPS) has the same half dozen women barking into their echo chamber. One in particular is on the page literally non stop like it's her job. Looks like OCD, tbh. |
I give all parents at my kid's school a chance IRL, but when they show their true colors on the FB group, I steer clear. I don't need crazy in my life. |
I’m in a crazy Loudoun one. But it’s the opposite of what you describe. They are RWNJ’s. |
I do think some of the moms that post frequently on ACPS regarding COVID health and safety issues have immunocompromised kids. Can’t even imagine what that must be like right now so I’m not going to hold it against them for constantly advocating for the health of their own and other kids. |
This is 2022- anyone claiming social media isn't real must be over 50. Don't want to be called out? Keep your mouth shut. Simples. |
Ventilation woman and CO2 mom. |
Some people true colors really came out. There are neighbors who lost their marbles. Their vitriol toward teachers, anger over simple safety measures, etc have made me wary of hanging out with them. They acted kind in the past but now I see their true colors when push comes to shove. |
They are nonetheless insufferable and some are just aggressively rude. |
