| My teens are on a cheesecake binge. I’ve been buying fresh shaved beef near the meat section, any cheese and fresh hoagie buns. I’m looking to be able to stock more and better short cuts (the pillow packs of meat take up a lot of space and the hogie buns are only fresh one or two days). I don’t eat meat, cheese or bread, if I need an excuse for my ignorance. Thanks for any tips! |

Refrigerate the buns and let them toast them.
Buy steak-umms or freeze the meat. |

Costco has individually frozen portions of cheesesteaks. I used them for all kinds of things. Super handy.
In addition to cheesesteak sandwiches, I often make a version of pho by throwing them into beef broth with some ramen noodles, then serving with bean spouts, white onion slivers, fresh basil and some wedges of lime. Kids love it and it's super fast and easy, plus filling. (I use Better Than Bouillon, comes in a jar) which is not just better than bouillon but also better than canned broth.) |
I would suggest freezing the buns rather than refrigerating them. Bread should never be refrigerated, only frozen. |

Freeze the meat in individual portions, if you don't like steakums (I don't). I get mine from HMart and divide it up.

I like the Costco cheesesteaks too. They have no added salt. I like to make cheesesteak omelettes with them. |
