They’re both good names but I prefer Henry. Ryan was so popular amongst my peers when I was growing up that it feels like a dad name to me now. Then again Henry feels like an old man name. But I like old man names and Henry’s very popular now so it won’t be viewed that way by kids growing up now.
What goes better w your last name? What will be the middle name? Any sibling names it needs to “go with”? (note that I don’t personally think this is an important criteria but others do) |

| I love Henry! Ryan sounds more 80'ish. |
| Love Ryan. I don't care for Henry, but I don't hate it. |
| I vote for Ryan because there are a lot of toddler Henry’s out there. His 80s born teachers will adore him with that name, because we all knew some nice, good looking Ryan’s back in the day. |

| There are so, so many little Henrys out there. Truly I’d go back to the drawing board. |
| My husband and I had this exact argument 19 years ago! I pulled rank as the mom, and our son is Henry. One of my concerns was that I knew several girls named Ryan, and I thought the name would become solely a girl's name. That didn't happen. And there are so many Henrys out there. It's a classic name, and it has family meaning for us, so I don't regret it at all, but if I didn't have a strong family connection with the name, I'd probably think twice. Still better than Ryan. |

Henry over Ryan. |
| Henry by a mile. |
| Honestly, neither. |
