Health, warm, vegan snacks

I don't want to eat cold fruit in winter. Though I'm not a vegan, I try to limit animal products so no meat/dairy/eggs please. What are your go-to healthy, warm, satisfying snacks?

Roasted chickpeas. Roasted beets. Vegan morning glory muffins in the microwave. Hot tea with a warmed vegan cookie. Small cup of oatmeal. Small cup of vegetable soup.

Baked apples with cinnamon and brown sugar.

If I had the time, I’d be frying up samosas, pakoras, Bhajis and all the Indian snacks! Most of them are vegan if you leave the ghee out. Hot and satisfying. I’ve seen a lot of people make them in the air fryer with decent looking results too.

Other suggestions: falafel, baked sweet potato/ potato, soups

McDougal's vegan instant soups. I just had one for breakfast. You can always just heat up some vegetable stock and drink it.

I also batch cook sweet potatoes for breakfasts or mid morning snack.

Edamame, buy it frozen, cook it in the microwave, and then add a little salt.

Or make up a batch of baked oatmeal, and heat a piece or a muffin in the microwave. In my family, some of us like to hold the baked oatmeal in our hand and eat it like it's a baked good, and some like to pour milk on it and eat it like it's a cereal with a spoon.

Japanese sweet potato roasted is delicious. Even moreso if you freeze it prior to roasting. Top with whatever you like.

Warm tofu with drizzle of soy and sesame oils (and green onion if you want)

Baked goods. I make banana or cranberry or whatever bread and freeze slices. Muffins are good too.

Tomorrow I’m going to try chickpeas warmed in garlic confit oil.

Soup is another good savoury snack. I like white bean kale soup.

Rice pudding made with coconut milk?

Roasted Brussels sprouts with maple mustard glaze are surprisingly snacky

Hot fruit tea with lemon and honey

Warm tortilla with honey and cinnamon and fake butter

Pita chips with humus or babaganough

Air popped porcorn with fake butter and Cajun seasoning

Oatmeal with soymilk and fruit. Also add cinnamon, vanilla & a bit of maple syrup. I do overnight oats so the milk soaks in and it's good warm or cold.

Roasted sweet potato (thanks for the reminder, adding to my grocery list now)
Make a pot of soup and work on it through the week (I prefer the texture of soups run through the blender — lentil is my go-to)
Good bread and spread

Sounds weird but microwaved carrots dipped in salsa. I suppose you could steam them too. But with the microwave, I can get them warm but still crunchy.
