…would you expect to see in a suburban $8-900k house? |
counter depth model of a brand available @ home depot, lowes, etc. |
Thanks. That’s kind of what I was thinking too. I have to remodel a kitchen we hope to be in for five to ten more years, but may need to move sooner. It’s the only time I’ll be able to tailor a kitchen to my own and it would be so easy to go down the Commercial/euro appliance rabbit hole when deep down I know I shouldn’t. |
This, in a matching color to the rest of the appliances. |
Get a standard size as it may be difficult to replace it down the road. Most fridges don't last more than 10 years. Don't waste the money on a fancy fridge. |
A 36” LG French door fridge from Home Depot would be great. |
I did a 52” sub zero with cabinet fronts in my remodel. Love it. |
^^42” * |
Subzero would take several months to obtain. |
I would not do a Sub-Zero in a 800k house. They start at $12k and need special installation. I have one. It works in my $1.5M as a few of my neighbors have them (wolf/subzero) too; but I think it’s over-rated to pay 3x as much if you just need a fridge. |
+1 Buyers will thank you for a standard-sized fridge. |
A standard -depth fridge with a bottom freezer that is as big and tall as fits in the available space. With an ice maker, but not necessarily the kind on the outside. |
A Sub-Zero glass door refrigerator is quite possibly the most beautiful thing in all of God's creation. |
Tell me about it. Why else am I here posting this thread? I was on the brink of having a conversation with my DH along the lines of “But I can do all my own demo and tiling your own backsplash is easy, and surely the powder room remodel can wait til next year” when I decided I needed a wee sanity check ![]() |
I am the first poster who suggested the counter depth HD brand. I just finished a full gut and went with the sub zero had to wait 6 months but it is gorgeous but if you aren’t going to stay for more than 5 years and it’s not going to really bump your house up for resale stick to something easy and in stock |
