Tired of boneless, skinless, flavorless chicken breast in my curry. I have tried whole chicken at local Korean stores, and at a middle eastern halal place but didn’t like all of the other parts it came with. Anyone try Whole Foods or any other places that they can recommend?
Curry cut chicken - A combination of dark and white meat, the Chicken Curry Cut (small) includes one leg cut into two, one wing without tip and one breast quarter with backbone. ... These pieces turn juicy and tender when cooked, which makes them ideal for making chicken curries |
I like Bell&Evans and Founding Farmers Market & Grocery Tysons Corner. Not sure about curry cut. |
| What about chicken thighs? Those seem fairly easy to find |
| You can get quartered chicken at Giant. Then just peel the skin off. Or get a whole chicken and cut it up how you want it- there are videos on YouTube and it's very easy. |
+1 quartered chicken from Giant (and we peel the skin off) is what we buy for curry, though finding quartered chicken (or even split breasts on the bone) is hit and miss these days. |
| I think Farmer Focus chicken, especially the skinless bone-in thighs, are excellent. I usually get it at MOM’s and have also seen it at Lidl. |

| I have a really sharp meat cleaver. I just slices a who chicken up for whatever I need. I save the necks and backs in thr freezer for broth. |
