| Out of the blue at 58 it’s starting, never had this problem before. My husband and I stopped having sex a while ago. |
|
Have you given birth?
|
| Don’t think it’s normal even for an older person. See a urologist. |
| After each kidney stone is removed, I have to start all over again with kegels kegels kegels. |
| Not ordinary Op |
|
Since child birth over twenty years ago, I developed slight incontinence especially when I cough. I have done a lot of core strengthening exercises to help prevent it but it has not gone completely.
I wear light feminine pads. If yours is sudden onset out of no where, I would have a doctor investigate whether it is within normal limits of ageing and how best to manage it. Good luck ! It can be so embarrassing! |
| Could it be diabetes? |
| Pelvic floor physical therapy with Pilates or yoga. Good luck! |
| 60 and don’t have it. |
|
64, and mine started maybe 3 years ago. Mild, can use light pads. I am overweight. Have not had kids.
I am afraid to go to urologist because I don't want surgery. I know I should try those exercises... |
No ethical doctor is going to say get surgery when the first thing you should try is pelvic floor therapy. Go to a pelvic floor therapist. |
| At 49. It’s awful. Finally getting help. |
|
At 40, after a vaginal delivery which destroyed my pelvic floor. I used a pessary for a few years, which was a miracle from where I was, but still needed to wear a liner. Then I had a urethral sling done, and it was life changing. Wish I didn't wait that long to do it.
Get thee to a urogyn. Life is too short to deal with peeing when dancing, laughing, and otherwise enjoying yourself. |
| Not yet but I pee a lot. Just. Turned 60 |
| At around 50 during peri menopause only. |
