$659k in Mount Rainier

See photo #11... those lights are odd as is the washer/dryer in the kitchen. Surprised it went for this much in Mount Rainier.

MtRainier is no longer dirt cheap and hasn't been for a few years.

That is a cheap flip.

Look at crime maps for Mount Rainier and you'll see a giant blank spot of incidents. The city is remarkably safe compared to other places these days.

I'm sure people are cashing out of their homes in DC and moving out due to the uptick in crime.

That’s why we moved out of Columbia Heights to MTR… our kids can now safely roam around the neighborhood!

+1 DH and me too.

I like it. I would prefer the laundry in the basement.

I agree. MtR is great for me and my fam and it's super duper friendly!

I live in MtR and love it, but that house is such a cheap flip and I cannot believe a house with laundry in the freaking kitchen is 659k.

The bathrooms are terrible.

Desperation on the part of buyers. It’s ugly

No, not desperation.

This house is .3 miles from the DC line. Mount Rainier is SUPER safe in terms of police. Zoned for MtR Elementary, which is an acceptable elementary school and there are several affordable private schools nearby. It's a big house and the flip is decent.

DH and I offered $650k for this home, but were beat out. It's a great buy imho.
