Who won the day? Harris
Harris won the day because Trump couldn't get past the fast-metastasizing backlash to his racist and misogynistic rally at Madison Square Garden. https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/10/28/2024-elections-live-coverage-updates-analysis/who-won-the-day-00185991 Adam Wren 10/28/2024, 10:37pm ET Here is a non-definitive list of things that have happened since Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally Sunday evening: The hateful, misogynistic and racist rhetoric delivered from the podium has metastasized, with Republicans and Trump’s own allies distancing themselves from it. They are describing some of the remarks as “asinine” or “unfortunate” — the proceedings a “mass political suicide.” |
DP do not flatter yourself. Trump received 72.2 million votes. The population of the country is 364 million. Trump got a little of 20% of the country. You maga people are just so stupid. |
We'll see..... |
+1 Good for him. Well said! |
Puerto Rico’s Republican Party chairman said on Monday that he would withhold his support from former President Donald J. Trump unless he apologized for racist remarks that an insult comic made about the U.S. territory on Sunday during Mr. Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden.
While residents of U.S. territories are not eligible to vote for president, Angel M. Cintrón, the island’s G.O.P. chairman, called on Mr. Trump to personally disavow comments made by the comic, Tony Hinchcliffe, in an opening speech at his rally that referred to Puerto Rico as a “a floating island of garbage.” |
When you all get 47% of the vote again it still won’t be half of America. |

Four-letter words were flying everywhere. One speaker flipped his middle finger at the opposition. Another made what was interpreted as an oral sex joke regarding Vice President Kamala Harris. Another suggested she was a prostitute. Still another discussed the supposed sexual habits of Latinos rather explicitly. All in all, former President Donald J. Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday was a cornucopia of crudeness, punctuated by the kind of language that once would have been unthinkable for a gathering held to promote the candidacy of a would-be president of the United States. But among the many lines that Mr. Trump has obliterated in his time in politics is the invisible boundary between propriety and profanity. |
Looks like Trump really touched a nerve by daring to have a rally in NYC. They thought he be in jail or bankrupt, and now he’s on the cusp of winning the presidency again, and his DJT stock tripled in the past month, with his stake now worth $5.4 billion. And the worst thing of course was all of his supporters celebrating together rather than hiding in shame! |
So Musk and company keep complaining about censorship. They can say all these terrible things, so what exactly are they not able to say? |
Will Hulk Hogan be Secretary of State or Defense? I’m not kidding! |
It was a stupid thing to do. You have a cringe man insulting Puerto Ricans on the one side, and you have Bad Bunny on the other. And Trump went with cringe. Trump supporters really are pathetic, and the MSG rally put a spotlight on that sad freak show |
Total freak show. Anyone who defends and supports the vile rhetoric coming out of that rally is missing something that makes one human. Trump is all about sowing hatred and scapegoating. He’s no different than Hitler. |
