ZERO Americans in ballon d’or

Shocker!

Top 3 is made up of an Australian and two Spaniards

Do we understand now why NWSL will fold and USWNT will not win anymore? The fairytale years are long.

Ironically we needed two gifts in the form of penalty kicks to beat Spain in the last World Cup and suffered massively to overcome Holland in the final.

Are people waking up yet?

Waking up to what?
The traditional soccer powers are fielding better and better womens' teams, and US soccer is in a natural lull between the older generation and the newer one.
Nothing particularly surprising.

The reference to USWNT should tip you off that OP is talking about the women's award.

I don’t know but the professional path ways and salaries being offered in Europe are just passing the US bye. The European game is totally different. The speed of play and technical level is just not found in the US(specially at the college level). Barca(women) is an incredible team and worth watching. They are so entertaining. The European women leagues’ top teams are really good and playing a different game vs the US. It is hard to watch the USWNT any more. Their game is just so unsophisticated and boring.

College soccer is a scam. But if it saves you money go for it.

Saving after 10 years of travel soccer fees. #oxymoron

Zero FCV players made the top 10.

Ha. Did you honestly expect any different? Americans are not good enough.

15 were called in to the ballon d’or training camp but their names were not released after people complained.

We did achieve parity in MNT and WNT salaries.

Cue… but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night…
