She is exceptionally good (top 50 ECNL player nationwide).
Is it possible she is waiting for an Ivy offer (are those given late?) Weighing offers? Forgoing college soccer in exchange for a higher ranked academic school? She is also a top student. I am nosy. What could be going on? |
Likely is proritizing academics and her preferred college did not recruit her do she applied anyway. |
| Maybe go to the pros or maybe she does not want to play in college? |
| My cousins kid is really good and making his decision right now as well, guessing bc his team just lost a state title? Maybe makes sense to prioritize team success over a decision that could potentially be delayed. |
| Female soccer players don't make anything. If the choice is between a student-athlete scholarship at a lower-ranked school or getting in a top-ranked school with no program at all - take the top one. |
I know you posted this in another thread, different title last week. |
she is sitting on an international offer |
Exactly. OP, move along... and it's okay to tell us you are related to this person. |
How is top 50 in ecnl good enough to be paid to play professional soccer? Even star college players or national team players can't sell tickets. |
| Maybe has offers to schools but not the right offer yet |
| Maybe they are going to play another sport in college instead of soccer. |
Are you saying ECNL is no elite? How dare you! blasphemy! |
You have the rest of your life to be a fool. Take a day off |
It's fine but it has little to do with professional soccer |
| There is no top 50 ECNL player that is not committed. I think you are just over estimating the player's rank. College coaches surely don't see her that high. |
