They're all up now. Look in SIS under documents.
Better than usual? Worse than usual? About the same? |
| My 6th grader's scores are up but not my 3rd grader's scores. |
|
About the same as last year but I am trying to understand what to do with them.
DS was in the 95th percentile for reading (yeah) but below expectations for Phonological Awareness. (boo) So what do I do about the Phonological Awareness issue? I will probably set up a conference with his Teacher. I am happy with his overall progress but this seems to be a major area that is apparently behind and I would like to know how to support his improvement in this area. And then I figure I sound crazy because overall he is doing great. But I don't want him to not get the support he needs in an important area in LA. |
| Is there anything higher than meets expectations? Both my kids got all meets expectations but each of them were in the 99th percentile for one of the tests (and just a bit lower for the other test). |
| Not great, my kid went from 90th percentile to 40th. |
My friend told me her son once did this part of the test with the speaker turned way down so he couldn’t hear what was being said. |
I have LDs and have been worried about similar issues for DS so this feeds into my concerns. I prefer your explanation. I do think I will talk to his Teacher |
My kid was not quite in the 95th for reading, but no where near the level for an intervention. Also didn't score at expectation for phonological awareness. Based on my limited understanding that's a red flag for future reading success, which is odd because my kid is usually above grade level for reading. I'm confused also. |
None of my kids went further than the spring score benchmark, so I'm not sure. Were your kids scores above spring? In the past there was a designation if your kid got literally every question right (based on feedback on this board, I have never seen it), but they changed the view this year. |
DS was above the threshold for Spring grades in Math and only a few points away in reading. He had all meets expectations except for the one below expectation. I don't think that there is above expectation. |
Of the 4 tests, between 2 kids, yes, 3 were beyond/higher than the Spring range. One was in the Spring range. |
| Neither of my children's scores are up in SIS. It is probably just some schools. |
NP and same exact scenario here. I am confused because I have twins and the one who scored below expectation in this area has always been the stronger reader/writer of the two. |
Yeah DD’s score isn’t up yet either. |
Did you check under Documents? It's not under Tests. |
