Is there a boys travel team (club) in Silver Spring you'd recommend?

We live in Silver Spring (Forest Glen area) and my son would like to play travel soccer. But all of the clubs seem to be based quite far away. I don't want to have to go to Bethesda, Potomac, Olney, or the middle of DC for practices 2 or 3 times a week. Are there any good clubs that practice in Silver Spring or nearby?

There's a fair number that play out of Takoma Park which may be convenient to you. Takoma Park Friends, Takoma Park Dreamers, Maryland International Soccer Club, Dematha Soccer Academy (plays in the Hyattsville, MD area). I think Cerritos Academy is in Silver Spring. Note that these are small clubs that don't have a great web presence. You can check out the EDP website and search for these teams to get contact info if you can't find a website. I think most of these clubs play in the premier levels of EDP and are not MLSNEXT or ECNL clubs.

Unfortunately, most small clubs don’t have enough players to field girls teams. However, girls are always welcome to play on the boys teams.

This may not be close enough to silver spring but a friend who works in that area..I think the boy and girl play for this club. At first I thought they said rose but I see it's Rosa.

Depending on the age group Aspen Hill might be a possibility. They use Einstein & Montgomery Blair HS fields for practice.

Why do you all continue to offer advice to people from old threads? Do you think this parent hasn't found a club in 2 years? You are obviously a dreamer admin who searched the archives for your club name.

Do you speak Spanish? Some of these clubs seem to de facto require this. Takoma Park Sport of Life had some kids get raided by higher clubs (a fact that probably matters more to your son)

What age group? Maryland Bobcats have various age groups in different leagues. They practice in Silver Spring.
