All of these women bring mean girl energy from 80s/90s evangelical middle school youth group. This is why they're all exhausting. Everyone else has moved on from that. They haven't.

Kristen is show choir alum and she doesn't let you forget it.

The only non-insufferable member of the tribe is Tara Livesay. She is able to mention her family's issues without making them a huge issue, or fodder for her sm. She and Troy are living their best lives as parents and grandparents. She is the only one I would LOVE to hang out with. She actually inspires me to do more in my community and to have healthy relationships with my adult kids.

Yeah. That makes a certain amount of sense of both them and my experience of them. The cliquishness, the self-absorption, the "radical chic" adoption of every leftist cause du jour which is the equivalent of deciding what outfit everyone will wear on a given day to delineate the in group from the out group.

I tried to count the trips but got tired mid-March.

Well the good news is now they are all too "deconstructed" to actually be part of a church.

I can see “seeker churches” marketing to the deconstructors as a chance to get them back into the fold. Deconstruction to me just seems like that 10-20 year gap that people want to take away from the church to do as they please. Then as they get older they miss the community and come back. Just a different variation of the prodigal son. Tale as old as time.

Deconstruction is just another way of saying you want to be spiritual but not tied to traditional Christianity. Be honest and just say you don't believe it anymore and stop trying to make money off of it like a big girl. Just move on. These people who always want to be teachers or preachers are exhausting.

Brandon just changed the name on his account. So if you search for Brandon Hatmaker, it won't pull up his account, but it is all still there under the new name. This does make me wonder if Jen is writing a tell-all book and she paid him off, but maybe he still wants to lie low. He and Tina seem happy.

Sounds like a good storyline for Jane Capstitcher: Jen packs up her graphic tees (being careful with her Tylers shirt as that is the most expensive thing in her closet), mawmaw shoes, hair vitamins (that make her hair worse) and decides to leave Buda and go live forever on a cruise ship, like the olds do.
