| Normally in Arlington there is a line around 6-7 am and then falls off by 8-9 am as people head off to work. What to expect this year? YMMV but I'm still pandemic cautious so I don't want to be lined up indoors with people who I assume will be unmasked (I'm in an area with tons of young people who are done with the pandemic) but I didn't get my act together early enough to early vote or get a mail in ballot and as the election tightens, I'd like to vote. When do you think polls will be the quietest esp given the work from home posture that most of white collar Arlington still appears to be in? |
| I would swing by at around 10 am and see if it’s empty enough for you. |
| Mid morning or mid afternoon. People tend to vote before work, after work and at lunchtime |
|
8pm. Sorry OP, you walked into that one.
I would suggest mid morning or mid afternoon. |
| Even work from home people will probably go early or late in the day. At least that was the case when I worked the 2020 polls. |
Seriously. Early voting was happening yesterday all day. |
| If you’re voting for Youngkin the best time to go to avoid crowds of scary Democrats would probably be Wednesday morning. If you try and vote on Tuesday you might find yourself in line standing next to a Black or Brown person, or someone who trusts science. And we know how upsetting that might be for Youngkin supporters, lolz! |
Hi I am a poll watcher at a precinct with many young voters. Usually the lowest turnout is from 10 to 11:30 am and then from 2 to 4 pm. Please do not listen to the poster who wants to disenfranchise you. We have many black and brown people in this precinct. When a new citizen or a teen votes for the first time, everyone is so happy for them. I hope you have a chance to see a first time voters when you vote on Tuesday. |
| I voted early and there was a steady stream of people. Most people I know already voted. Sharing this as its likely that it won’t be so crowded tomorrow. |
Oh sweetie, that’s not what pp was saying at all. But I’m sure you knew that and are just trying to stir shit. |
| I've lived here 20 years. I've never seen a line on a non-presidential year. |
Not a very good spokesperson for McAuliffe ^^. You just look idiotic. |
The shit-stirrer is the top PP, posing (badly) as a Youngkin voter. But I'm sure you knew that. |
Odd. I have some black/brown neighbors with Youngkin signs. I think they’ll be fine Tuesday. -Blanding voter here |
Per the rabid McAuliffe supporter on the other election thread, this is not likely. “Democrats vote early” said this individual multiple times. All of the people voting on Tuesday will likely be Youngkin/Sears/Miyares supporters
