| my SIL and niece did. i didn't notice any change in their weight. i am not onboard with any diet that wants me to eat most of my food from little oatmeal like packets. i don't see how this would be sustainable after you stop the packets. |

Optivia is medifast with a new name.
it is an extremely low calorie diet of packaged foods. A friend did it and lost probably 30-40 lbs pretty quickly. She couldn't exercise while on it because the calories are so low. So far she has kept the weight off but time will tell. It's pretty typical for her to lose a bunch of weigh and slowly gain it back. My thought on this sort of diet is that yes it will work, but you need a solid plan for what you will do once you go off it. If you think it is too difficult to meal prepping/planning now to lose weight then how will you do what you need to do to keep the weight off? |
| I am on it. It is working for me. I have 80lbs to lose and I have lost 36 since mid august. I went off for 3 weeks with extensive business travel, but back on. I don’t have to think about cooking all the time. I no longer crave sweets and fats-but carbs yes. And yes, lots of packets. But I kind of like many of them. And, eating packets all day, your lean and green tastes great. I plan to stay on it at least through Christmas. It is simple to do and works for me. It isn’t for anyone, and yes there is a marketing scheme part of it, but I don’t have anything to do with that and no one bugs me about it. |

I did it and lost 20lbs. I was struggling to lose and they told me to stop going to OTF 5x/week. That didn’t sit right with me. Within 6 weeks of stopping I put it all back on again.
The first thing I remember was that coming off of it I was a kid in a candy store. Pasta-yes, brunch-yes, pie-yes. You get the picture. I’m now doing boring tracking in Lose It. Weight comes off much slower but I’m happier that I can go to the gym every day. I switched from OTF to heavy lifting and I can’t imagine doing that on Optivia. |

PO here currently on optavia. If you stop and are happy oath your weight, you have to transition properly. Biggest mistake with optavia and most diets is that you can’t go back to you old eating habits. If you do, guess what happens. I know people who were successful on optavia by doing it for a while, then switching to something else. It is a very low calorie diet so you have to be careful not to crash you metabolism. And, you can do variations, like 4/3 and 3/3. All depends on lifestyle. I am really fat and unhealthy so right now my goal is to break habits by not doing them. And get the weight off, especially with the covid risk. Then add more healthy food and get back at the gym.
Optavia is expensive. Don’t do it unless you are committed. Or, check your local Craigslist and see if there are some fuelings to buy and that way you can taste some before you shell out hundreds. |

I did it. I did lose some weight but didn't keep it off. I know a lot of people who've been really successful. I was more successful on Noom and a lot of people complain about that.
Optivia was expensive and the food was disgusting. |

| I tried it for one day and thought the food was so disgusting and had such a bad chemical aftertaste that I had to quit. I would rather be fat that subsist on that crap. A woman I know who lost tons of weight on it has gained it all back. I was able to return the food for a full refund. |
