HOV-2 violators

Anonymous
The HOV-2 lane on 270 south is a joke! Every morning a bunch of single, non-PEV drivers clog up the lane and there are never any consequences. This really grinds my gears.

Maybe they have small children in the backseat?

No they don't. They treat it like a passing lane that they never leave.

You can’t tell if they do or not.

Yes. Or midgets.

I often drive in the HOV land but I have 3 young children buckled in the back that I'm sure nobody can see through the tinted windows. I often wonder if people think I'm some a-hole scofflaw. But with 4 people in the car I'm pretty comfortable that I'm following the rules.

+1 Every minivan and SUV has enough window tint that there’s no way that OP can see if there are small children inside a vehicle going 60 mph.

And neither can the cops, hence the violators.

Cops pull people over, then see if they have kids in the back or not. It’s definitely happened to people on this forum.

I’ve been pulled over, and got a citation for too dark of a tint.

Pulled over from that lane.

I’ve been pulled over with DD and DS in the back, both in car seats. Officer apologized and I was on my way.

I used to take it daily and every so often they would literally slow traffic to check every car.
