New Clarksburg ES #9 boundary study

Here we have a look at the scope, according to the new CIP:

A boundary study is recommended
for Clarksburg Elementary School #9 to create the
service area for the new school. The anticipated
scope will include the following elementary
schools—Clarksburg, William B. Gibbs, Jr., Little
Bennett, and Wilson Wims elementary schools.
No middle or high schools are anticipated to be
included in the boundary study. Based on the
approved completion date for the school, the
boundary study will be conducted in the spring
2022, with Board of Education action in November 2022.

Got it. So with the exception of the kids at the 4 elementary schools, there will be no high school or middle school changes.

The kids at the 4 elementary schools may change elementary schools, but not middle or high schools (they'd still go to the MS and HS their address would currently be zoned for).

The kids at the 4 elementary schools may change elementary schools, but not middle or high schools (they'd still go to the MS and HS their address would currently be zoned for).

I don't think that's how it works. The middle school and high school assignments are based on the elementary schools that the kids attend; not their house addresses. I doubt that they would split articulate the new elementary school but I could be wrong. If they don't, then everyone assigned to the new school will go to Neelsville/Seneca.

No, the middle schools and high schools have their own boundaries. Assuming they're not changing the middle school and high school boundaries, which is what "No middle or high schools are anticipated to be
included in the boundary study" means, then the middle school and high school assignments won't change.

It's supposed to only fit around 300 kids. There's currently a student body of nearly 800. I think they do need to keep Clarksburg ES open, because #9 will likely be at or over capacity by the time it opens. It's all homes up here, and there's more development planned.

The site isn't big enough, and there aren't enough students.
