Can you play on two teams?

Like if one team is a lower division of NCSL and the other team is EDP/CCL- can you be rostered to both?

Yes. There are several lower division clubs bringing in players from better teams within their club playing in different leagues to bolster those weaker teams and try to stop the bloodshed.

You can't play in the same league for two different clubs.

One of our goalies was rostered on an NPL club and on our team from a different club that played EDP. The loophole was one team was NPL (US Club Soccer) and the other was EDP (US Youth Soccer). One company couldn't police the other company so he had a card in each organization.

As long as the two leagues are not both governed by US Youth Soccer or both governed by US Club Soccer. For instance, I don't think you could play for a VBR Star CCL team and a VA Beach City FC EDP team because both CCL and EDP are governed by US Youth Soccer.

Correct. Also, your kid could play for a different team in tournaments than in leagues as tournaments have their own roster process.

How about in different states? Could you play for a usys team in Maryland and in virginia? Or not?

Even if you can how would this work? My kid has 4 practices/week and 1-2 games a weekend for his one team. When would he fit in another team’s schedule? That sounds awful.

Obviously it doesn't work for your kid. Not every team practices 4 days a week with 1-2 games. Eventually playing that much will degrade your dc soccer by mid to late season.

Many teams play in both NCSL and EDP. That can be 2-3 games each weekend. With the unlimited pass in NCSL you can play for as many of your own clubs games as you can attend as long as you are either playing your age or up.

We know a kid who plays like this within the same club. Just goes to some games for the higher team when he can. Not sure why.
