| DS has the week off from school and we have no family nearby to celebrate Thanksgiving with. It’s not a big, fun holiday for us so thinking about a trip instead (2 vaxxed adults and one unvaxxed 7 year old). I need ideas! We are ok traveling by plane. |

Somewhere warm! We are going to Barbuda.
What about Turks and Caicos? Hilton Head for something easy. I hear St John and St Thomas are out of rental cars again until Feb 2022 due to high season, so avoid. |
| Cancun or Playa del Carmen! Up to Quebec City. Jamaica or the Bahamas!! Find a cool Airbnb and let the child pick one!! |
| We’re going to Denver. Going to visit Boulder, Garden of the Gods, and do Rocky Mountain NP on thanksgiving day |
| With covid and an unvaccinated kids, why would you risk it? Go somewhere you can drive. |
I’m so jealous, this sounds lovely. I would get an Air B and B on the beach, drive south for warmer weather. So decide how far you’re willing to drive (3 hours? Go to Va beach, 6 hours, go to the Carolinas) and pick a place as close to the beach as you can afford

Enough already. Flying is no more risky than the other normal things most people are doing every single day (kids going to school, grocery shopping, going to the gym, kids sports ….) |
| I like the Google flight explore feature |
| Atlanta. Do the aquarium, Coca Cola tour, CNN. Plenty of good restaurants. |
We are considering this. Have you been to Denver over Thanksgiving before? What do you expect the weather to be like? Thanks. |

This is where you go for easy. Assuming you want sun, my picks are Playa Del Carmen (or Cancun/elsewhere in Riviera Maya if you want an AI) or Puerto Rico.
For a city break, I would go for Mexico City, NYC (great time in the city because it’s relatively quiet) |
Nope but the weather history shows highs are usually in the 50s and lows in the 20s. Pretty reasonable! We went to Chicago one year at thanksgiving and everyone here told me it was going to be miserable and awful. It wasn’t at all. Normal mild late fall cool weather and cold nights! |
| We’ve been to Hawaii, Belize, and Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving. We live in Denver-winter weather is really variable, but we don’t typically get a ton of snow in November. |
You never know what the weather will be in Colorado. It could be a blizzard one day and then 70 degrees the next. Keep an eye on the extended forecast and if they are calling for snow, there will be snow and make sure you rent the appropriate vehicle. Colorado is a magical place. You will enjoy it even if you don't head to the mountains for skiing (which would be insane over Thanksgiving because the schools have the week off). |
