LCPS sexual assualt - who is held accountable?

Now that the facts are coming more into light:

https://wtop.com/loudoun-county/2021/10/teen-charged-in-loudoun-co-school-groping-was-on-electronic-monitoring-for-earlier-charges/

How can we, as parents, let this stand? The school system just transferred the offender and let it happen again to another poor kid.

And how many other similar cases are there that have not gone public yet? My heart goes out to the victims and their families.

This makes me sick to my stomach

"After the incident was reported to the school, and then the sheriff’s office, Byard said, the school system “does impose interim measures to protect the safety of students involved in the original incident, deter retaliation, and preserve the integrity of the investigation and resolution process."

Apparently that means to move the offender to a different school?

So do we get to keep this thread now that WTOP picked up the story?

I am an MCPS parents and came across this news story in my FB feed. So frustrating for the victims and the parents.

MCPS parents have been dealing with this the past few years - the Damascus rape case (where the accused was transferred from another school where he had issues) and the Rockville rape case.

Schools systems are definitely NOT doing enough to protect our students. I hope Loudon parents get some answers.

As a parent with a kid at one of the high schools, I have to say that it's absurd that this boy was transferred. I hope all Loudoun County parents (because all other folks are banned) show up at the next school board meeting to demand the board resign.

Also, the principal at Stonebridge needs to go.

Can we please also stop referring to the boy as "transgender" or "gender fluid" - he isn't.

Why do you say that? Reportedly he wore a skirt and used the girls bathroom. That sounds gender-fluid to me.

I'm sure in your small rural world men wearing skirts and women wearing pants means they are trans and should be burned at the stake. But those of us who have travel outside of Loudoun know that is not the case.

I can help you look up if you're not smart enough to use the computer.

Why? What do you call a boy who wears a skirt and chooses to use the girls bathroom?
