| I need to take a treat of some kind to a meeting with young adults this week. Thinking cookies, obviously. What are the best store bought cookies? Safeway, Giant, HT, and Whole Foods are all equally easy to get to for me. |
| Harris Teeter, hands down. For cake too. |
| Wegmans ultimate chocolate chip - but since not on your list of nearby stores go with WF or get Tates at any of them. |
| Harris Teeter has decent cookies, but honestly if you want really good cookies, go with what pp said and get the ultimate chocolate chip cookies from Wegmans. |
| Entenmann's cookies are my downfall. |
Me too. The black and white ones are really good. |
| Tate’s |
| The frosted sugar cookies on the bakery section at Safeway or Giant. We call the crack cookies they are so good. |
+1 Wegmans |
|
The ones by Together We Bake at (some) Whole Foods. Great organization and cause (they give jobs & skills to women fresh out of prison). Also the most delicious chocolate chips cookies!
|
| Pepperidge Farm. The toffee ones are to die for. |
| Walker’s shortbread |
+1, but only the shortbread fingers. I bought a different shape once and they were disappointing. |
| Wegmans frosted sugar cookies. |

WF's brown butter chocolate chip cookies are the best. The Wegmans chocolate chip come second, and the HT chocolate chip cookies, while adequate (and much cheaper), are definitely third.
This is the unanimous view of the 5 people in our house. |
