is your child's team record better, the same, or worse than you think the team is?
Is the team getting better? Are individual players improving? |
What I expected. No. Not much. |
| Our team was moved up division last year and many of us were nervous about that but they have really done great. They did so so at tournaments over the weekend but find those are a crapshoot with the level competition and how rankings are done. |

Our team is U13 and travel, but does not actually travel. It's one of the tryout travel-locally teams that's a step above rec.
Last year we were unimpressed but DS wanted to continue because he has friends on the team. This fall the team lost some players and gained some players and it is a much better team than it was, and than we expected. Oddly enough, practices, especially the parent led ones, are amateur hour and we are consistently disappointed in some of the kids' behavior. We were just talking this week about whether or not we should say something, because with one kid in particular it borders on bullying (not our child, but that shouldn't matter). I think everyone got worse, so some teams that you beat in 2019 you're losing to now, and vice versa. |
So its not travel.. |
My kid is about to hang it up. Not having fun. |
May I ask why? |

worse
no yes - GB |
Wants to play a different style and with kids who want to play the same way. Mixed levels of skill makes it hard to play. Coach joy sticks. A few examples- they are not allowed to pass back on kick off or pass through the center(anywhere on the field). This is at one of the well known clubs around here. |
As expected No No |
What’s your game plan? Try to find another team more suited to your son? And how would you do that? |
| My kid is sidelined with a growth plate injury. |
Better Yes I think so but they are really learning how to play better together as a team. The talent was already there and I think getting better as well thanks to the coach. |
| Love our team, awesome kids, kind parents, and fab coaches. Loving the season. It was a switch from winning but not nice big club to smaller club with newer players. 100 percent worth it. Kids improving every week. |
| As expected. The team and the kids are getting better and our team is the best U9 team in the state. |
