Stay with SGF or choose another clinic?

Anonymous
Had two unsuccessful cycles with SGF, now wondering if we should try out other clinics too. I know the choice of a clinic doesn't decide my fertility results, and a lot of other factors are involved.
Just wondering what a change would entail now, the pros and cons. If you are/have been in a similar boat, what did/would you do? The emotional and physical toll is bad, I'm thinking of "what ifs" now.

Also, I'm thinking of taking a break of 1-2 months, just focus on regenerating my health and get back to it again, can't wait too long though because of AMA.

Thanks for sharing!

I think after two failed cycles it is appropriate to shop around. I had two failed cycles at GW and then got my records had appointments with CFA, SGF, CCRM (NoVa and CO), and Johns Hopkins. It’s helpful to hear what other doctors would do and what they think of what happened so far. My case was a bit weird because I’m unexplained and relatively young so my poor results were very unexpected. We ended up switching to SGF and had great results that were in line with my numbers, but I’m not suggest SGF is in anyway better, just that it’s good to get some perspective. Also a doctor I talked to (at CCRM co) basically said either it’s your eggs or it’s the lab, so you should probably check to make sure it’s not the lab. That’s what we did and it worked (although it was a different protocol too).
