Outside of booties, what shoes is everyone wearing with jeans this fall? I'm thinking about high top sneakers, or slip on sneakers. I live in an area where it doesn't get cold enough that I would need to wear socks with my shoes.
My general style is casual, classic + a few trendy pieces. Jeans, sweaters, cute tops. |

I gravitate toward slip on oxford style (not quite a loafer). Kind of like this: https://www.zappos.com/p/kork-ease-nottingham-brown-terra-full-grain/product/9425316/color/879439
I love high top sneakers and have a couple pairs but never get the to look right with jeans |

I think the trick is finding the right length jeans or being able to cuff your jeans at just right length. It's easier to do if you're tall. I'm 5'9 so jeans are usually a tad too short on me to begin with - because I'm not quite tall enough for the "tall" size. |
Oh I like those too - didn't know that's what they were called. thank you |

You guys seriously have no idea how excited I am to be able to wear Doc Martens and be in style! |
How about a loafer with a metal buckle across? Maybe a slightly dressier look, but still casual. Has that cute young Mary Tyler Moore look.

White tie sneakers (e.g. Vejas, Golden Goose, etc) slip-ons, or loafers. |
I will be living in these: https://mgemi.com/collections/the-felize-suede-moccasin?product=2316348063803
And my Vans. And my Cole Haan booties:https://www.colehaan.com/laina-bootie-black-canary-suede/W22258.html |
I have some several-years-old metallic low top sneakers from Cole Haan that I’ve been wearing the last couple weeks with everything from midi skirts to jeans to joggers. I love high tops but feel like they can be tricky and weirdly not versatile. But especially because I’m dressing more casually in general these days, the metallic feels like a nice pop even while the sneaker is super comfy and feels really low key. Also, goes really nicely with fall colors and can wear them with black, brown, grey— it’s the perfect neutral. |
