These white women seem epically pissed that this drink philanderar is cavorting around with a hot Latin woman instead of his white ex-wife.

Lol. Based on your post, you sound like you may be “drink” too!

As has been emphasized at nauseam earlier on this thread, not everything had to do with race, including most of the criticism here- which has been equally thrown at white Ben. It has to do with the fact that they both gallivant from relationship to relationship and neither seem like particularly present or stable presences for their impressionable, still young children. Jen G gets praise for seeming like a grounded parent who keeps her personal life private, and doesn’t uproot her kids lives for every new relationship she’s in.

You’re defensive.

Right. Because everyone is either making a racist comment, or defending one.

Yes, you’re bothered. Keep going.

I am bothered- people like yourself use race as the cop out for every criticism these days. Like, she can’t possibly be independently a semi absent mother AND a Latina- to imply the former, it must be caused by the latter.

Get a more original line of thought, or an actual defense. Keep going!

Get a grip. I don’t care what you think. You don’t actually know her or any public person, you’ve being a little asshole, and while I didn’t call you racist you seem certain someone’s levied that accusation against you in some form. Clean your own conscience. Affleck himself said that upon reflection much of the negative tone of the publicity she received when becoming “J.Lo” had an unsavory focus. So your resistance to this conversation sure is interesting.

Madonna must have more money/success & compared to JLo, Madonna has aged horribly.
She used to be such a beautiful woman > now sadly she looks like a common ol’ granny.

Similar women in JLo’s age range do not look like they are still in their prime.
Mariah Carey looks bloated, Gwen Stefani looks very plastic + Renee Zellweger looks like a completely different person these days.

Why for fu@ks sake is how she looks such an enormous focus here? Yes, she's beautiful. And rich...she also has a troubled, chaotic relationship history and has been divorced three times. She recently suffered a devastating break up. She is all of these things. They are all a part of her....looking beautiful has its limitations. It does not prevent pain or loss or aging, not matter how much it is fetishized here. It does not make life a cakewalk nor does it make her an exceptional person internally. Signed, A therapist who has worked with "beautiful people".

Why are you missing the point? I am interested in how she is looking good at her age 100% from a physical health standpoint. She looks good externally presumably because she is in good health ( I am ignoring plastic surgery things bcse those can only go so far). I want to know what she is doing in diet and exercise and supplements. I know I can’t have her genes or ovaries or whatever is keeping her youthful. And I have no control or interest in her personal life.

I think these are two separate conversations. I don’t believe anyone is suggesting that beautiful people don’t have difficulty in relationships. The pool of men may be larger for as a result. Her fame also puts her in a fishbowl so my guess is the pool of men isn’t all that large. Fame is not enviable. IMO

Good point, I think there are a cluster of hard core fans here who do seem preoccupied with her beauty as nearly "other wordly" or as a defense against what they see as unfair attack on her personally. So I was probably responding to the drumbeat on here about her physical appearance. The pool of men may be low but many beautiful people ultimately find long term love, even if they have earlier divorces. Because they do the internal work. The suggestion that they are hotter than everyone seems irrelevant and small consolation when what a person wants is committed, long term monogamy and they cannot find it. But that narrative is unacceptable for her pr team, it always has to be spun as if she is deeply powerful, rich, etc. And has it all....as if the public buys all that. She's been in the media for decades and will still say ridiculous things like really only one marriage was real. It reminds me of Tina Fey teasing Kirstie Alley when she was very overweight but said she was 140 pounds. Fey's response: "she knows we can see her right?"

People who argue she doesn’t look good then or now, that she’s had a ton of surgery, and that her appearance is common or unspecial are totally delusional and I’ve always felt there was a nasty classist, ethnic hatred of JLo. That photo of her I’m mentioning came at a time when a LOT of the white women I knew then (and I’m a white Latina) said a LOT of nasty stuff about her body, especially of course her ass. Look at her now.

I will see I feel like the photo of SJP is taken in the harshest light, and that her sunglasses are awful for her face shape. I am the lone woman who thinks she looks great and that keeping her grey/white hair mixed with the blonde looks cool.

I think SJP looks great too, she also is viewed as a lovely, pretty private person who does not have a huge ego. As for the idea that not seeing j lo as a superb beauty reflects racism, I disagree. She is beautiful but enormously high maintenance obviously. That can undo things for some people....it just does. She probably even understands that and does not believe she is a great beauty to all in her natural state...almost no one is.

Lol.
SJP is a lovely person I am sure but in no way does she measure up to JLo’s beauty, however JLo got by from, however high maintenance or blessed by natural genes she might be.

A truly private person wouldn't switch from a supposedly beloved fiance to a new guy in less than a month and bare most of her bottom in the sun for a the new boyfriend to pat in public for pictures posted around the world that her kids can see. Not exactly the way to show your kids the meaning of love and commitment.

DP. The performative ass fondling is kinda gross, especially seeing as they are 50yo parents.

Is being hot and sexy and cavorting around all that you admire in a woman?

Lol. Now who’s being testy? I didn’t even make most of the comments, just find yours annoying. Clearly you’re triggered to be throwing around curse words on an entertainment forum in defense of a celebrity you don’t know.

Lol. You’re thin-skinned and incredibly triggered by a discussion about how ethnic and/or racial ideas stereotyped the subjects of the threat. It’s not a good look.

You’re acting like a small-minded asshole. So that’s the language I’ve used and will continue to use. It’s accurate, and it amuses me a great deal. I’m not going to stop.

So criticism of her behavior is racist? You make it sound as if her behavior is typical of her cultural background. I strongly disagree.

With her beloved fiance, A Rod? I forgot! It's a month later! Now it's Ben! True love, for sure.😉

I again go back to what would you say if she were your friend, having just having a broken engagement, running into the arms of another ex who has huge addiction issues and also just broke off a relationship?

It just isn’t healthy

DP - Actually you are the one that comes off as a small minded and thin skinned. Also sounds like you have some personal issues you are projecting on to this discussion. Its sort of sad really.
