What I love most of all about this is that speech free from government interference ended up being protected.

What I love second most is that this was a flex by Trump, and he thought he had it. But now he has to face public defeat. I love that for him. I hope he cries.

Trump's reaction will likely be completely nonsensical.

The autism presser is being delayed right now, so clearly he is composing a doozy of a truth social post.

Bob Iger should step down

Money talks, and apparently louder than Trump yells while having a temper tantrum.

Remember this, everyone. WE have power. Don’t spend your money on companies that support fascism.

The same way the libs justify it when they cancel someone. No one is owed a job.

You really don't get it.

"Cancel culture" as you like to call it, is PRIVATE individuals choosing not to do business with certain people, or watching certain actors, or firing people b/c they don't like how their employees' views reflect on their business.

THIS SITUATION involves the power of the Federal Government coercing the networks and broadcasters to fire him. That coercion is patently illegal, the former is not.

Until you comprehend that, you should stop opining on this.

And yet, you are unable to prove it.

You've been told again and again WHO fired him and WHY.

You refuse to accept it. That's YOUR problem.

You're right, we have. We were told that the government was implying that they would revoke license if he wasn't "canceled." And there is SCOTUS precedent-as recent as last year- saying that sort of government coercion to suppress speech violates the 1st amendment. There is lots of analysis on that and why this would kill his "cancellation", just like has happened.

So it is YOU who doesn't understand the issues and you that refuses to accept the situation. And that is, indeed, a you problem.

Oh, unfortunately for alt-right wingadoos, the left has some great comedy writers. There is a long tradition of crafting carefully to get around censorship -- read up on The Smothers Brothers show from ye olden days fighting for free speech in the time of the Vietnam War, and Laugh-In.

Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour

Stewart did this recently by verbally bowing to Trump, but with the pauses, tone, and inflection to get the joke across.

Comedy has its ways.

So, did he apologize and donate a bunch of money to TPUSA?

It's a way for Disney to save face for a few weeks. Either way, he's gone before end of year.

Oh, that's going to happen anyway. Streisand Effect.

Sorry, champ, this is going to backfire.

It’s really impressive how Trump managed to blow this grenade up in his own hand. He not only proved all his BS about free speech was BS, but he also proved he doesn’t actually have the power he thinks he has

I really, really hope that Kimmel did not promise any autocensorship of his show.

I love late night comedy and usually watch Seth Meyers, Steven Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel. The one I prefer is Jon Stewart, the one that's most informative is John Oliver, and the one I miss is Trevor Noah

I don't have a TV and watch them on YouTube the following morning, with breakfast.

Super brave of him to do this now that it’s been reversed, btw.
