Find you representatives and ask them. It is also his job to inform you. |
Just as expected, that comment did not make it into the MWAA minutes. Other useless statements did, but not this one. |

If you live in Palisades, Westmoreland Hills, Glen Echo, Brookmont, Westbard go to page 20 of this document. It shows how the flight path changed at the request from the MoCo reps on the Working Group. It may not look like much but it greatly increased the noise for those communities. Departures are noisy.

I am pretty certain palisades residents were never informed about it. |

I noticed the noise and wrote to the Working Group once about it. I got a response that pretty much told me that it was just my imagination. Incredibly dismissive.
Just who put these people into their position to make these decisions -- and why aren't they accountable to residents? I think they just count on us having busy lives without the time to do anything about this. I'd be willing to donate to any organization trying to make some progress on this issue. |
As the map shows it is not your imagination. In fact the majority of the airplanes fly much closer to palisades and Bethesda than the map shows because of the early turn. The change was spearheaded by Potomac residents on the working group supported by Montgomery county office of the county executive. |
