When should DC drop its school mask mandate?

1) That study was during Delta. Masks were far less effective with Omicron.

2) Cutting cases is less meaningful when cases are already really low. So whatever.

Cases aren't meaningful anymore, Spain study design was better, this study had populations with 13% vaccinated, blah blah blah

Another one of your flawed retrospective observational studies. Also: Delta is over.

If WTU leadership has an outsized role in determining *public health policy at schools*, something that impacts all of our children, then we get to care what WTU leadership says. If they are going against CDC guidance, that's important to note.

The WTU came out in support of removing the mandate. Find someone else to blame

But this doesn't seem settled amongst WTU leadership, if the at least one person in leadership's twitters are any indication. Does that have bearing on what happens to DCPS lifting the mask mandate?

If there is any sanity left in this town, it won’t. Why should WTU get to make public health policy that is in contradiction to CDC guidance?

Look, does DCPS listen to parent input? They use those same listening ears with the union. DCPS does what they want. They shift blame around while they wait to make decisions . The put their finger in the air to see which way to go. Bowser will decide which will help get re-election campaign the most - masks or no masks. It doesn’t matter what anyone says or thinks but her

Let me rephrase it for you: If there is any sanity left in this town, what will help get her reelected is to listen to the CDC.
