I did my Global Entry interview a few years ago by doing a walk-in interview at the Ronald Reagan building.
My friend is trying to get Global Entry and he is only seeing interview availability at locations in NY, TX, and AZ. I’m reading conflicting info online about whether walk-in’s are allowed at the Reagan Bldg. It appears that they were suspended during COVID, but I was wondering if anyone had recent experience trying to walk-in at the Reagan Bldg. |
Our whole family did it early Covid, so I'd think they are still doing it. |
Not PP- did you have an appointment, or did you walk-in without an appointment? I think the question is if you can now walk-in without an appointment. As of 6 months ago you could not. I looked at Flyertalk and there haven't been any new datapoints about this question for the Reagan Building in the last 6 months. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trusted-travelers/1364352-global-entry-walk-interviews.html Tell your friend to keep checking really often- the appointments shift around A LOT. |

Check frequently on availability and take an appointment when it pops up - you can always change. Right now there are appointment at RR for November. I was able to schedule an appointment in Sept just a few days after I received my conditional approval - even though when I had checked just a few days before there was no availability.

| Also click specifically on the RR Center when you are searching. Don’t just search all locations. |
| We looked for weeks as it only took 48hrs for my husband to get conditional approval. In the end there were weekend spots at Dulles and we took that (booked on a Thursday for Saturday). Card in hand two days later. |
