If you marry an American in America immediately after your 90 day tourist visit, ie in Day 91, and then file for a spousal green card you will be fine.
USCIS won’t bat an eye. And yes, a Virginia based immigration attorney told us this when our K1 fiancé visa was taking 12+ months instead of 6 mos like their website continually said. He said it’s very common. |
Yikes |
He's in his late 70s. Married one late 20s and the second late 40s. No, none of us really get it but it seemed mutually beneficial. There was probably money involved, they're very accomplished women. |
And to add, she fell into a deep depression after and was diagnosed with bipolar 2 as a single mom. |
So glad you lost the election. 4 more years baby. |
Careful. Anchor babies are coming to get you!!!!!!! Run!!!!! |
Exactly. The illegals and anchor babies are racking up the hit & run collisions here in Georgia Ave in silver spring. So dangerous. And now we have abandoned vehicles as they all literally run out of the vehicle after ramming someone and never come back. |
you are too much!!!
|
Duh. They’re here illegally, have fraudulent IDs, work cash pay subcontractor jobs, don’t register nor insure their cars or trucks, and come from a lawless country where you can’t prove who was driving if y’all race out and lie when asked. Hit and run and run culture. |
Like clockwork, MAGAts come out to bash "illegals" when it's completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. |
Yes. Common Easiest way to stay in the country indefinitely if you are undocumented or overstay your visa: marry any willing American citizen. |
I love silver spring culture by the beltway. Stay safe and away from river road! |

I don’t understand why people think this wouldn’t be common. The incentives are easy to understand.
American citizen wants to help out a friend/family member or just wants to get paid tens of thousands of $, sometimes more. The chance of getting caught for this crime is pretty low. Foreigner desperately wants to get out of their country and is willing to do anything to come here. The paperwork and hassle is really not that bad vs what you get for it. Yes it’s a felony but people make the cost/benefit analysis that it’s worth doing. There are a lot of losers in the US who have nothing to lose, no assets to risk in a divorce, and would jump at the opportunity for a big payday that doesn’t require much work. |
How many do you know personally that did this and got away with it? |
| yes, yes it is, I have a very small circle and I know of 3 people who did this. |
