Distraction as a byproduct is very likely. Though it seems the obvious main goal is to essentially push other surrounding Muslim populated/ruled countries to see this as such an extreme and terrible alternative that self-moderation of radicalism is the only option. Of course this is the strategy of a true narcissist who thinks this is just the “art of a deal” and international relations is just another stage for familiar business strategies (see Canadian tariffs). It’s only a bonus for him that this video will ignite outrage among the “libs”.

Beyond the obvious appalling nature of this being used as a one size fits all tactic to anything put in front off him, it is a dangerous miscalculation here as it will 100% lead to terrorism that also have a one size fits all approach to dealing with their enemies, particularly those who insult what they view as the most sacred tenants of their religion. No one “wins” in any of this. Just short term saber rattling to satiate the base who cheer this shit on with their Mountain Dew visors.
