Curious if anyone has done both and can compare the exfoliation?

Haven't been to the hammam in Bethesda but I went to one in Europe last year. The 'scrubbing' process is very similar. In the hammam, they had me lie down first on a tiled bed, wrapped in a towel, after they poured several buckets of hot water over me (as opposed to soaking in the bade pool first).

I think they’re similar in terms of level of exfoliation, although I haven’t been to Spa World in years, so I may not be remembering correctly. That said, the hammam is a much more relaxed, pleasant experience - it’s relatively dark, there aren’t a lot of people around, and the whole thing just feels a little less…vigorous.

Looks like it is also much more expensive

Locker attendant is there to make sure of it. Also most people obligee to the honour code. Kinda like TSA if you see something say something.
