Amsterdam House? Where they had the Falafal fixin's bar

There was a French Restaurant in AM on 18th St (started with an 'F", (I forget what is there now), but I loved their brunch and every time I walk by, it makes me sad that it left.

La Fourchette?

YES!!! That was it! There was this older French lady that worked there, that I simply loved. Dang, miss it all over again

Best memories at Tiber Creek. Large round tables, playing cards and yard of beer by your side. I remember it being in a hotel at Capitol Hill.

Also second Bistro Francais, Le Lion d’Or, La Chaumiere, Cafe Lautrec, Houston’s brunch in Georgetown mall, Booey’s in Georgetown, the little Greek take-out place on O St, Ten Penh downtown, 701, Zola, Pasta Mia, the Francesco Ricchi seafood place in 801 Penn, New Orleans Cafe, Cafe Atlantico, so many more

The fact that San Marco closed, while Pasta Mia is still around is all the evidence one needs that there is no benevolent God.

Pasta Mia is gone

Yes! I mistakenly said Houston’s. Also add to my list the original Lauriol Plaza, the original Sushi Taro, Kinkaed’s and Citronelle. Oh and Krupins Deli in Temleytown at its zenith. An eclectic list!!
