I seem to remember a certain president who said he graduated at the top of this class, etc. Hmmm |
Trump? Trump did that. “Trump graduated from Penn in 1968. Before long, a legend was born. A 1973 article in the New York Times said Trump graduated “first in his class” from the Wharton School and then quoted his father as saying, “Donald is the smartest person I know.” The claim that Trump was the top student was repeated in a more widely noticed 1976 profile in the Times, again including his father’s quote about being the “smartest person.” The Times later published stories that questioned whether Trump was a top student at Penn, noting that transcripts are private. In fact, Trump’s name was not among the top honorees at his commencement. Nor was he on the dean’s list his senior year, meaning he was not among the top 56 students in his graduating class of 366. All that is known for certain is that Trump received at least a 2.0 average, or C, enabling him to graduate. A 4.0 is equivalent to an A. The idea that Trump was the top performer has persisted partly because the president has continued to let it stand, despite the many times it has been debunked. Trump acknowledged as much last year, saying that he “heard I was first in my class at the Wharton School of Finance. And sometimes when you hear it, you don’t say anything. You just let it go.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-who-often-boasts-of-his-wharton-degree-says-he-was-admitted-to-the-hardest-school-to-get-into-the-college-official-who-reviewed-his-application-recalls-it-differently/2019/07/08/0a4eb414-977a-11e9-830a-21b9b36b64ad_story.html |
It was one of his countless documented lies. |
|
I wonder if by “the media” he meant the Tuckers who convinced him that it’s fine to a racist illegally toting guns across state lines. Maybe he’s trolling Faux news. |
|
Eh, kid with few real prospects. Found his "identity" as a right-wing meme and rides the fame train as long as he can.
Wouldn't surprise me if I heard he OD'ed in some hotel room 10 years from now. |
That’s kind of where I assumed he’ll end up. “Underage rage murderer” isn’t really a great resume builder. |
|
He was a part time lifeguard who had dropped out of high school. He wasn’t on the path to a bright future before the media ever reported on him. Why would it be hard for him to visit a dog park (assuming he’s not open carrying)? What happened with the multiple public offers of internships from Republican members of Congress? Why is he still being interviewed on tv? |

So does that mean he's going after Fox news as well? I mean, he could have quietly drifted to the background so over time people would forget about his case and not recognize his face. But no, he is front and center continuing on his rampage. He really doesn't understand what he has set up for himself. |
I would be surprised if he lasts 10 years frankly. He is a poor uneducated idiot who is too stupid to understand he is being used. Standing ovations at conferences, interviews on Fox and he thinks he is a celebrity with an audience. The falling will be hard when he is no longer needed |
Think you are correct. He's not doing the hero thing by going to Ukraine and fighting for freedom, he's lying about where he is going to college instead. |
