DC1 - 2, Nutcracker at Kennedy.
DC2 - 4, Carmen at Wolf Trap, in which DC1 was singing.
A year later, 9th symphony at Wolf Trap.
And somewhere in there, Saint-Saens' s Carnival of the Animals.

I may be way off the mark here, but I'm pretty sure the Nutcracker isn't a concert. Unless the sarcasm went way over my head. Which is entirely possible.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic, but if OP meant a contemporary music concert, then she should have said so. I am well aware of the differences between concerts, ballets and operas.

Just wanted to fly my lone little classical flag here

Nope. You just wanted to advertise that you think your kids are more cultured that our kids.
You know Carmen and the Nutcracker are not concerts.

People who want to take offense will always find a way to do it!

Honestly, the Nutcracker didn't hold the toddler's interest. He fell asleep in the middle. However Carmen was wonderful. DD was so happy to see a show that her older brother was singing in.
They sat through the 9th symphony calmly, but enjoyed Carnival of the Animals so much more, which is unsurprising given that it's so kid-friendly.

And no, I don't think that my children are more cultured than yours. We have different tastes, that's all.

Why such hate or jealousy? Stop it already. Aren't people allowed to post what concerts they went to, since OP asked, even if they take it in the larger sense, and acknowledge it too?
Do you always stomp on everyone who's not exactly like you?
