June or Alice?

If your kid were one of two Junes in her class, would June sound okay with your last initial? (ie, I would not want to be June B, it just sounds bad to me).

It just came up in another OP’s thread but I don’t see it come up often overall. I like both names! Agree with going with what sounds best your last name.

I agree, very similar vibe. They even both have happy little nicknames -- Ali and Junie. I guess factor in whether you like the nicknames, how they sound with your last name, and any siblings.

If you have another girl some day, they'd be cute sister names.

DP. I'm seeing a ton of June and Juniper on other websites, too. Very trendy. Alice has become more popular but it's a timeless classic.

+1. Jude is an awful nickname, though, especially for a girl.

Another vote for Alice, my grandmother’s middle name.

Hi, Judith. 👋

We had Alice on our list but ultimately couldn't commit to it. My husband didn't like that it had the word -lice in it and after he mentioned that I couldn't unsee that either. I do think it sounds lovely though and I like the Alice in Wonderland connection.

I think June is an adorable name but I do think it would be annoying for the child when every single person they meet asks if they were born in June. (I don't think it matters that they'll actually be born in September, but as someone who has a name that always leads to questions, I'm just considering that June will also lead to questions and that may be annoying for your daughter as she goes through life).

I think Alice June would be a cute choice. And if the -lice thing bothers you like it did us, you could call her Allie?
