The title isn't enough for you? |
I posted a different picture of her earlier. It got deleted. No idea why.

Please. Alex is a nasty foul mouthed asshole. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Prayers for these two victims. |
Yikes. |
| This is heartbreaking for all parties. I don’t care for him, but the pics of him from yesterday broke my heart, I can’t imagine how he must feel. |

From Director and Producer Robby Starbuck on Twitter:
"I would be surprised if this doesn’t end with manslaughter charges for one if not two people. The person responsible for the faulty blanks (if that’s what was fired) and the person who shot the victims. Alec as an actor has safety protocols that if adhered, should prevent this. I can’t stress enough how seriously guns are taken on set. It takes a very lazy set, breaking protocols with seriously weak leadership for a shooting to take place. It’s not normal. Decades ago it was relaxed. Today it comes with close to the most serious safety protocols on set. Note: A dummy round can get a bullet into the barrel and then a blank can power a dummy round stuck in the barrel to fire. It’s happened before killing an actor. It’s part of why we have so many safety checks. If this happened, theoretically it could split into two projectiles. That’s an almost best case scenario for negligence though. If these end up being full live ammo, there’s absolutely no excuse for it to happen at all if you’re following proper safety protocols. What a tragedy. Pray for the victim’s family!" |
Pun alert. |
| Just a thought, if the prop director and safety people walked off the set in protest, could they have sabotaged the gun to make their point? I hope I'm wrong. |
OMG please examine your extreme bias. |
|
How does one "accidentally" shoot two people? Wouldn't you stop after shooting the first person?
Blanks are only deadly at close range, why was Alec pointing a gun at the these people at such close range? Why was Alec pointing a gun at the DP and Director anyway? Lots of questions to be answered here. |

Actor W. Earl Brown details strict weapon protocols:
"In the aftermath of Jon Erik Hexum, the dedicated crew job of Weapons Handler was created — someone whose sole responsibility is overseeing any and all firearms used on a movie set. In the aftermath of Brandon Lee, the rules got much stricter and oversight increased. For rehearsals, we are given rubber weapons. When it is necessary for a real weapon to be used, the weapons handler clears the chamber, the cylinder, the clip, etc… anywhere a projectile can lodge is checked. If dummy bullets are required, each shell is checked before loading… This process is then checked by an assistant director or director and then by any actors involved in the scene. The weapon is usually dry fired. At all times, treat every weapon as if it’s loaded — barrel down, uncocked, finger off trigger. If a live Blank is required, it is loaded at the last minute. The presence of a live round is always announced so that everyone knows the size of the load and that the round is live. " As soon as “Cut” is called, the weapon is to be returned to the Handler. No exceptions. Those are the Rules." https://twitter.com/WEarlBrown |
I know. Right over their head. |

I'm just going to put this here:
1) How did he shoot a cinematographer and director? He would not have been acting so was using a prop improperly outside of filming. 2) How did the second person get shot? It's not like a rapid-fire prop. 3) Clearly someone called paparazzi to show up at the police station and folks he's a great actor, he turned it on for the photos. This is in the middle of Fing nowhere NM. Where did the paps come from? Definitely seems like a set up by his agent. Something doesn't smell right at all. If it wasn't intentional it was definitely irresponsible. |
Were they behind the camera? Also, I understand that blanks are supposed to be fired OVER the actor/target person; not directly at them. Was he firing into the camera? |
| I’m no Alec fan but the photos of him traumatized at the sheriff’s office were incredibly invasive and insensitive. Shame on the photographers and the people who published them. |
